Fetal stem cells
Fetal stem cells are primitive cell types found in the organs of fetuses . The classification of fetal stem cells remains unclear and this type of stem cell is currently often grouped into an adult stem cell. However, a more clear distinction between the two cell types appears necessary.
Adult Stem Cells
The term adult stem cell refers to any cell which is found in a developed organism that has two properties: the ability to divide and create another cell like itself and also divide and create a cell more differentiated than itself. Also known as somatic .stem cells and germline (giving rise to gametes) stem cells, they can be found in children, as well as adults.
Pluripotent adult stem cells are rare and generally small in number but can be found in a number of tissues including umbilical cord blood. A great deal of adult stem cell research has focused on clarifying their capacity to divide or self-renew indefinitely and their differentiation potential. In mice, pluripotent stem cells are directly generated from adult fibroblast cultures. Unfortunately, many mice don't live long with stem cell organs

Is there anybody who got transplanted the stem cells to cure type1 diabetes and became insulin f?

The doctor who developed this procedure (an American) had to travel to Brazil to do his testing because the US wouldn't grant him approval. He was very successful and at the seven year mark, over 70% of his patients were still insulin free, so it's not 100% effective. I read somewhere that Canada is testing and having similar results. You can bet that here in the US, where pharmaceutical companies have a HUGE lobby, the procedure won't be available any time soon. And by the way, the stem cells used came from the patients themselves.
